They embed with enterprise customers after the sale: building the integrations and custom work each deployment needs, owning the technical relationship through onboarding and go-live, feeding product gaps back to engineering, and being the credible technical voice in commercial conversations. It is the role where engineering and customer outcomes meet.

Demand is being driven by AI-native and enterprise SaaS companies standing up customer-facing engineering for the first time, often hiring the founding members of a function that did not exist a quarter earlier.
